Week 28

We are still working on getting Benjamin used to solid foods...We tried one of the teething biscuits that our pediatrician said he could have...We ended up with quite a mess very quickly!  Lots of drool + teething biscuit = gooey hands and fingers!
We have a freezer full of homemade baby food, and we finally gave in an decided to try some of the jarred bananas to see if he would like those a little better than the homemade apples/carrots/sweet potato we had tried...of course, that was the breakthrough, and he seems to be liking solids a little more!  He also hated the rice cereal but liked the oatmeal much better.  Hopefully he will eventually eat some of the homemade food!!  We will try again this weekend.
Here's a picture of Benjamin watching the Arkansas game with Daddy.  Go Hogs!

We also had to start supplementing him this week with a little bit of formula.  That was another challenge, we had to try a few different brands, but I think our little man has found one that he will tolerate!  Hopefullly all of these food and formula issues don't mean he will end up being a picky eater all the time!
He is starting to pull himself up more and more and he is getting closer and closer to crawling.  He can make it a few feet and then gives up, but we know he will be taking off before we know it.  We need to get serious about the baby-proofing!  We will try to take a few pictures or video of him crawling and post them next week!
