Fun in Fort Worth

For the first time ever, Greg had the day off today for MLK.  Since it is busy season at KPMG, he was used to being buried in audit deadlines...but not this year!  :) It was quite a treat for us to get to have the long holiday weekend.
Friday afternoon, Greg suggested that we take a last minute road-trip somewhere nearby...which sounded great until we thought about packing up two kiddos and all their supplies/clothes/food.  As a compromise, we decided to spend Saturday in Fort Worth and take the kids to the Fort Worth Zoo and the Stockyards.  Our entire family is finally getting better after having a bad cold (and an ear infection for Benjamin) so it was nice to get outside and enjoy the nice weather!  We are ready for cold and flu season to be over!!

Benjamin checking out the scary python!
Caitlin is always smiling!  This was her first ride in the double stroller with big brother!
Benjamin checking out the elephants with Daddy.
He loved riding on Daddy's shoulders, and kept saying "Shoulders! Shoulders!"
Kangaroos! He got down and hopped along the fence just like a kangaroo.
Roar!
This was Benjamin's first carousel ride and he loved it!
"Up! Down! Up! Down"
After the zoo, we headed to the Stockyards.  We missed the cattle drive down the main street but there were still plenty of horses for them to see.
It started to cool off so we didn't get to stay too long.
Hopefully we can go back again soon and see more of the sights!
Here they are bundled up in the stroller with Daddy

Also, on Sunday, Caitlin finally rolled over from front to back.
Will try to get some better video and post it soon...
What a great weekend!
