That morning he woke up and got to play with his new birthday gift...a Train Table.
(Mommy and Daddy were up late the night before trying to put that surprise together!)
He loves playing with train tables whenever we go to any toy store, so we knew he would love it!
He isn't a big fan of cake, but we have discovered that he loves ice cream cake!
He's a pro at blowing out birthday candles!
It was getting close to bedtime for Caitlin, so Benjamin was consoling her.
Checking out the shirt mommy made for the big 2 year old!

We are so proud of how much our little guy has grown in the past two years. He loves reading books, knows all of his colors and shapes, can count to ten (except sometimes he likes to skip the number 5) and can sing along with the alphabet song. He also loves singing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," or making up his own songs about cars and trains. :)
We had his parent-teacher conferences at school a few weeks ago and we were so pleased with the feedback we got from both his teachers. They said he is extremely bright and is really advanced in his talking/communication skills. They said he is really sweet with the other kids, and he asks the teachers when one of his friends is missing that day! They also said if two kids are fighting over a toy or someone gets a toy taken away from them by someone else, he will try to console them by bringing them something else to play with. What a sweetie. Mrs. Myranda said she thinks he is advanced enough to be with the older class, and said we should think about moving him up next year! We are very proud parents!

Greg was happy to see that he was almost 3 feet tall, since they say you can double your height at age 2 to estimate your adult height. Hopefully that holds true!

We are so thankful for our sweet, smart, handsome little boy.
He makes us smile and laugh every day, such a blessing!
