Week 25

This week Lolo put together Benjamin's highchair so we could try it out and get ready for the big day when Benjamin gets to eat cereal (this coming weekend we're going to give it a try!).  Lolo and Lola put him in the highchair and let him play with some of his bowls and cups to get some practice...
Lolo was busy this week and also put together my outdoor rocking chair.  Greg hasn't painted it yet, so we're using it inside for now...
On Saturday we had a busy busy day!  We started the day off at the St. Thomas Halloween party.  Janice was volunteering, so Greg was in charge of putting on Benjamin's monkey costume and bringing him to the party...Unfortunately, Benjamin was not in the mood for the monkey costume, so they just came to the Halloween party in regular clothes.  Most of the games and activities were for kids a little bit older, but it was still fun to look at all the kids in their costumes.  Hopefully he will put the costume on for the neighborhood cookout this coming weekend!  After the Halloween party, we headed to our friend Ali's first birthday party at Flag Pole Hill.  Since we had a big morning, Benjamin was asleep for the first 30 minutes of the party...What a party pooper!
After his power nap, we were ready to play and Benjamin and Daddy headed for the nearby swingset.  Benjamin loved the swings!!
We had a fun time at the party, Ali's mommy, Cindy, did an awesome job with everything!  We will have to ask her for pointers when Benjamin's first birthday party comes along!
Here is Benjamin playing with Ali at her party.
Big smiles for the camera!
Benjamin also experienced his first major thunderstorm on Saturday night.  He did NOT like the thunder and lightning and woke up screaming when we had some really loud thunder!  It shook the whole house and woke all of us up!  Luckily it didn't last too long!
Benjamin has become even more snuggly and sweet the past few weeks.  He is always giggling and laughing.  He might be starting to develop a little bit of stranger anxiety and makes it known when he doesn't want you to leave the room!  He is also starting to pull himself up to sitting from a laying down position and is getting stronger every day.  We are excited for his 6 month birthday and tryng solids next week!
