Benjamin's First Christmas

We had such a great weekend celebrating Benjamin's first Christmas!  We headed to Little Rock on Friday morning, around Benjamin's first nap time to try to take advantage of the sleeping while we drove.  Benjamin was a trooper the first 3 hours of the trip, and then started to get antsy and frustrated that he was confined in his car seat, so we had to make a few more stops to give him a break and keep him happy.  He is definitely not one of those babies that just sleeps and sleeps in the car.  He really hates the car seat!!

Our Christmas celebration #1 was with Nana and Papaw Gathright at their house in Little Rock.  Keegan was such a helpful cousin, since Benjamin couldn't possibly open all his gifts by himself!!!
Benjamin mostly liked tearing paper and trying to eat it!
Actually, he spent most of the weekend trying to put everything in his mouth...

The next morning, we headed to Warren for Christmas celebration #2 at the Ezell House...Thankfully, Benjamin slept on the way there!

Then we went to the Sledge House for Christmas celebration #3!
We were so busy playing with everyone that we didn't take many pictures!

Christmas morning, we woke up to have Christmas celebration #4 and got to open all the presents from Santa!  Thank goodness Santa knew that we'd be in Arkansas for Christmas!
Look at my presents!

Making sure everyone is watching him open his gifts!
He is SO excited he can't even contain himself!!

Benjamin even got to eat breakfast in the highchair that has been used by all the Sledge grandkids and great grandkids!
I love Christmas!
We headed back to Dallas after breakfast on Christmas morning and had another fun car ride back home!  We ended the day at Christmas mass at St. Mark's where Lolo and Lola go to church (and where my mommy went to school!)
I got to say Merry Christmas to Lolo and Lola before heading back home to rest!  What a fun weekend!!!
Now Mommy and Daddy just have to figure out where to put all these new toys and clothes!!!
(and we still haven't had Christmas with the Yllana families!!!)
