THE EZELL FAMILY: Our visit with Santa!

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. It is one of our favorite times of the year!

After asking some of our friends who have kiddos, we determined that the Northpark Santa seemed to be one of the favorite Santas in Dallas...Luckily we got some advice from these experienced parents and got there around 9 to get a number and they told us to come back around 11:45. We went home so Benjamin could rest and nap so he would be in a good mood for the pictures and then headed back to the mall around 10:30 to walk around and wait our turn. We got back to Santa's house right at 11:45 and had to wait about 10 minutes for our visit with Santa. After all our best efforts, he was still a little sleepy when it was time for his pictures. We put him in Santa's lap and he was content and even looked like he was laying on Santa's chest. Then he looked up and realized that he didn't know who was holding him and he started crying!

Thankfully, the photographer got a picture before the meltdown...

And then he realized he didn't know this jolly old man who was holding him....Oh no!!!

After he calmed down, we walked over to the Salvation Army Angel Tree to pick out an angel for Christmas. We picked out a little boy named Isaac who is 8 months old. Hopefully we can make it a tradition to get our Santa pictures taken and then adopt an angel every year that is the same age as Benjamin. Greg thinks that once he is old enough, we will make him "work" to earn the money to buy his angel a gift. Trying to teach him the spirit of Christmas at an early age!!!

We also had a fun time this weekend at Lolo's 65th birthday party. Aunt Rini came in for the party (and of course to see Mr. Benjamin) Here are a few more pictures from the weekend.

Learned to crawl up the stairs at Lolo and Lola's house (with a lot of supervision!)

He probably went up the stairs maybe ten times, and was VERY tired by Saturday night!
